Studies in Kern County, Calif. have demonstrated that Surround[R] WP crop protectant produced by Engelhard Corporation, Iselin, N.J., minimizes infestations of adult glassy-winged sharpshooter and reduces egg lay by 99% on treated vines. The product is listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for use in organic production and is registered by the EPA.
