Wines & Vines, April, 2003
James Wolpert announced his resignation as chairman of the department of viticulture and enology at UC Davis. Vice chairman Andrew Waterhouse will serve as interim chair until May 1. Wolpert, who had chaired the department since 1996, plans to focus on his research, finding new grape varieties for cultivation in the San Joaquin Valley.
