Restaurant patrons statewide could take their unfinished bottles of wine home with them and not be ticketed for driving with an open container of alcohol under legislation unanimously approved by a House committee. Under HB 719, a customer who has purchased a bottle of wine with a full-course meal could have the bottle resealed so that it could be taken home.
