Many tanks: stainless technology means new options

Wines & Vines, July, 2002 by Jennifer Rofe

Domaine Carneros, with Champagne Taittinger, has broken ground on a new facility in the Cameras district of Napa County that will produce Pinot now only. The 23,500 square foot building is being built adjacent to the winery's French-styled chateau.

The facility will feature open-topped fermenters and a temperature/humidity-controlled barrel room. Visitors can view the complete winemaking process.

The new winery was designed by Valley Architects of St. Helena, and Wright Contracting, Inc. is general contractor. Completion of the project is estimated for May 2003.
