Silver Lake 1998 Chardonnay Reserve, tasted in August, is p.c. in the color department and joins my just-founded Underoaked League. It's from Washington's Columbia Valley and just 580 cases were made. The suggested retail is $13. This would be just fine with crab cakes or, golly, crab by itself. Other Northwest seafood, broiled or otherwise, would be nice, too.
