We liked Mirassou Chardonnay 1997, harvest reserve. Again, we could stand less a.c. than 14.5%, but we can accept a $16 price tag. Also, we could stand less mlf and sur lie manipulation, but that's life. I'd go with a simple fish, unsauced, like swordfish or halibut here. Tasted 3/2000.
