In June, 600 guests celebrated Matanzas Creek's seventh Days of Wine & Lavender in Sonoma County's Bennett Valley. At the event, which was created in 1995 to celebrate the lavender harvest and the winery's annual release of wines, guests drank Matanzas Creeks' new releases, barrel samples and special selections from the winery's cellars.

This year proceeds from the event were donated to charity. CEO Jean L. Arnold presented $30,000 to the Redwood Empire Food Bank--$15,000 was raised by the event, and the Jackson Family matched $15,000.
