Jacques Lafitte, founder of Lafitte Cork & Capsule, Napa, Calif., died in France at age 84. A native of France, Lafitte revitalized the cork company founded by his father, began exporting his corks in the early '60s and introduced heatshrink PVC capsules to the French market. In 1982, he moved to California where he established his cork and capsule business.
