The Principal Financial Group is offering employers an enhanced health reimbursement arrangement designed to integrate with health savings accounts (HSAs). The new service gives employers the flexibility to design deductibles, reimbursement percentages and rollover options that best meet the health benefits needs of their workers.

Principal Financial also launched the Principal Direct Connect HSA service, which allows employers to make contributions and transfer funds electronically into any employee's HSA, helping to further automate the process and reduce plan sponsors' administrative costs. At the same time, Principal Financial extended its enhanced HSA services to insurers, third-party administrators and investment firms.
