Previous jobs: A commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, he has held human resource positions in Denver, San Diego and the United Kingdom. He left HR briefly to serve as vice president of a philanthropy consulting firm and then as executive director of the National Archery Association, one of the national governing bodies of the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Education: Holds a bachelor's degree in speech communications from Penn State University and a master's degree in operations management from the University of Arkansas.
