Work/life benefits - What's New: Products & Services - Brief Article

HR Magazine, Jan, 2003

Often it is difficult for employees to contact their doctors' offices during normal business hours. So a new service at www.mdhub.com is designed specifically to help patients communicate with their doctors by using e-mail and fax machines.

More than 375,000 practicing physicians have an MDhub.com online connection already up and running and ready for patient use. Since many doctors' offices are not yet online, all messages sent through MDhub are automatically delivered to the doctor's fax machine or via e-mail if the doctor chooses. This free technology can help employers by improving the quality of communication between their employees and medical providers. Better communication also means employees will become better health care consumers, which in turn can aid in reducing employer health care costs. MDhub is a free service offered by The Little Bluebook of Companies.
