DOL seeks $1,000-a-day fine for lack of retirement plan disclosures

The U.S. Department of Labor has proposed a regulation that would allow it to assess fines of up to $1,000 a day against retirement plan administrators who fail to disclose certain documents to participants, beneficiaries and others as required by the Pension Protection Act.
