SOX audits of small companies' internal controls delayed

Acknowledging that the costs of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance have been "significantly higher" than the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC] originally projected, the SEC has delayed the application of SOX Section 404(b) to small public companies until 2009.
