Software bits - payroll and human resources software - Software Review
HR Magazine, May, 1999 by Stacy VanDerWall
Cort Directions, a developer of payroll and human resources software in Bend, Ore., introduces the Cort Payroll & Human Resources System for Windows. Special features include computation definitions, user data elements and four reporting tools. Computation definitions can be used to make reports and spreadsheets, calculate pay or deduction amounts, and determine vacation accruals and benefits eligibility. The Payroll System handles all payroll issues, including special taxing, retro-pay and pre-processing. The HR System "flags" special events such as performance reviews and tracks and maintains benefits and COBRA. The HR System also eliminates multiple data entry because it fully integrates with the Payroll System. (800) 6183880 or www.cortpayroll.com.

However, Pentium processors, 16 megabytes or more of RAM, 12 megabytes of hard disk space for software and an SVGA monitor are recommended for both systems. (514) 817-5459 or www. innerdrive.com.
