Training and development - What's New - business skills training course - Brief Article

HR Magazine, June, 2003

KnowledgeNet Inc. has launched a new business skills training course, called "KnowledgeNet's Project Management Professional Certification Live." The training course uses a ground-breaking delivery method, which combines the quality and interaction of instructor-led class-room training with the convenience and cost reductions of web-based training. Unlike other business skills training solutions, which are essentially "canned" self-paced courses, the KnowledgeNet PMP Certification course will be moderated live by instructors who have years of hands-on experience in project management procedures. The certification course is designed for experienced project managers who are seeking project management professional certification; however, less-experienced managers who may have had no formal training on the concepts of project management also may enhance their skills with this in-depth course.

Zebra Hill Corporate Games has been granted a license to produce custom editions of the popular board game Trivial Pursuit. The customized versions of the best-selling game will be produced for Fortune 500 companies and other large corporations for use as training and promotional tools. All the trivia questions in the customized versions will be based entirely on the particular corporation's products, services, history and technology. The new versions of Trivial Pursuit corporate edition will be designed to meet the training and promotional needs of large corporations and will offer employers an entertaining new method for teambuilding and educating employees about the company.
