SHRM names new publisher - Insights on Issues - Gary Rubin joins the Society for Human Resource Management as vice president of publications and new media, publisher of HR Magazine - Brief Article

Gary Rubin joined the Society for Human Resource Management in June as vice president of publications and new media and publisher of HR Magazine.
Rubin will be responsible for several Society publications, including HR Magazine, HR News, Employment Management Today and SHRM-published books. In addition, he will oversee SHRM Online, the Society's comprehensive web site.
Rubin has more than 17 years of experience in publishing, advertising and marketing positions with several large trade-press publishers, including The Taunton Press, Cahners Business Information and Grain Communications. He most recently was vice president and general manager of the magazine, newsletter and catalog division of NewsStand Inc. in New York, which delivers magazine and newspaper subscriptions via the Internet.
He has a bachelor's degree from the Center for Media Studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
