HR Co-Pilot adds info, compatibility - Inside SHRM - Brief Article

The newest version of HR Co-pilot from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) updates Information on HR-related laws and regulations and adds federal reporting requirements for benefits annual reporting and plan disclosures.

And due to a Significant number of member requests, the collection of HR-related reference materials is now compatible with the Pocket PC operating system, said Susan Bergman, SHRM director of Internet operations. HR Co-pilot is now compatible with products by Palm Computing, Handspring, IBM and other manufacturers:

Version 4.0 of HR Co-pilot, free to SHRM members is available at www.shrm.org/copilot. Members who already use HR Co-pilot should download the Updated Version for the most recent information; the last version was offered in January 2002. The first Version was released in the summer Of 2000.

In addition to the updates on compliance and reporting requirements, HR Co-pilot includes the SHRM Code of Ethical and Professional Standards in Human Resource Management and the "Understanding Religion in the Workplace" toolkit. This toolkit, written by the New York-based Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding, provides overviews of major world religions and discusses religious sensitivities.
