Enegren has been named president and CEO of Marathon Medical Technologies, Bioject Medical Technologies' joint venture with Elan Corporation. Enegren will focus on the research, development and commercialization of an ambulatory, continuous blood glucose monitoring system for diabetes patients for the Portland, Ore.-based firm. Enegren previously served as managing director of Arrow International and spent two years as director of marketing and business development for Boston Scientific, Inc. He began his career in the medical and science products division of Corning Glass Works. * Datex-Ohmeda: Richard W.J. Atkin has been named president and chief executive officer of this Tewksbury, Mass.-based supplier of anesthesia delivery systems and patient monitoring solutions. Atkin, a native of the United Kingdom, joined Ohmeda in 1994 as a plant manager and was appointed vice president of operations in 1995. His background includes semiconductor research and product research development and design. * Dornier Medical Systems, Inc.: Peter Fujimoto has been named president and chief executive officer of this Kennesaw, Ga.-based provider of technology to the urological marketplace. He was named CEO of Dornier MedTech North America in January 1998, with responsibility for subsidiaries Dornier Medical Systems, Dornier Surgical Products and Acoustic Imaging Technologies in the U.S. Fujimoto has been president of the Dornier MedTech Japanese operation in Tokyo for over three years. * Implemed, Inc.: The Watertown, Mass.-based manufacturer of OLIGON(tm), a polymer-based technology for the manufacture of infection-resistant medical devices, has announced the hiring of Edward W. Kelley as president and CEO. Kelly has more than 20 years of medical device experience, including five years as president of Davol, Inc., a subsidiary of C.R. Bard, Inc. He was also the general manager of Bard Access, a supplier of long-term vascular access products. He has served as executive vice president and COO of HemaSure, Inc., a blood filtration company. * Medline Industries Inc.: William K. Abington III has joined the Mundelein, Ill.-based health care product supplier as chief financial officer. Prior to joining Medline, Abington was chief financial manager for Masonite Corporation in Chicago, a wholly owned subsidiary of International Paper. Since 1987 he has worked in a variety of positions, both domestic and international, for International Paper. * Toshiba America Medical Systems: The Tustin, Calif.-based company that markets, sells and distributes diagnostic imaging systems has appointed Michael McLean as vice president, sales, and has reorganized its full-line marketing department. McLean previously held senior level sales management positions at Johnson & Johnson-as VP and management board member-and spent 15 years at Beckman Instruments in a variety of assignments, including director of North American sales and marketing. McLean joined Toshiba in 1998 as vice president of the Ultrasound Business Unit. In the reorganization of full-line marketing, James R. Burch has been promoted to director, customer communications. Also, Joseph V. Fritz has been promoted to senior manager, clinical development, and Catherine M. Wolfe has been named senior manager, marketing programs. * ZOLL Medical Corporation: Two additions to the sales management team have been announced by the Burlington, Mass.-based manufacturer and marketer of an integrated line of proprietary, non-invasive resuscitation devices and disposable electrodes. E.J. Jones has been appointed vice president of international sales, and Steven Flora named vice president of North American sales. Jones spent 15 years with Millipore Corporation as VP of international sales. Flora was previously vice president of North American sales at Marquette Medical Systems, Inc. * Branson Ultrasonics Corporation: Michael S. Kan has been named worldwide medical market segment manager of this Danbury, Conn.-based manufacturer of ultrasonic, hot plate, and linear and orbital vibration welding equipment for medical industry devices. Kan has held positions of district sales manager and sales manager for Latin America within the Branson organization. He will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities.

* Precision Assembly Corporation: E. Kennard Knott Jr. has joined this Northvale, N.J. subsidiary of ADM Tronics Unlimited, Inc. as an advisor and will assist in the commercializing of a device for the treatment of blood-borne infections. Knott is the son of Dr. Emmett K. Knott, the developer of the Knott-Hemo-Irradiator, a device used extensively by U.S. physicians as early as 1930 for the treatment of blood-borne infections. Precision has developed an updated version of the device, currently before the FDA. Pending clearance, PAC will manufacture the device and market it through another ADM subsidiary, Immuno-Therapy Corporation. ADM is a developer and manufacturer of noninvasive electronic medical devices and chemical and dermatological products.
