Karilyn Perry has been elected to replace Williams as vice president, sales and marketing. Perry will continue to direct strategic marketing functions and assume management of Pyxis' North American sales and service organization. Perry joined Pyxis in 1993 as vice president, marketing. Before joining Pyxis, Perry served as clinical information system sales manager for Hewlett-Packard Co., where she held positions as business development manager for clinical information systems and product manager for patient monitoring products.

Debby Weaver, human resources director, has been elected to the new position of vice president, human resources. Weaver joined Pyxis in 1990 as human resources manager. She was promoted to director of human resources in 1993. Previously, Weaver was in employee relations at IVAC Corp., and human resources at Rockwell International.

* SoloPak Pharmaceuticals Inc., Elk Grove Village, Ill., named Mark Soufleris vice president of marketing and promoted Michael Gurchiek to vice president of sales.

SoloPak traditionally has specialized in the manufacture of injectable multi-source pharmaceutical products, and recent acquisitions have broadened its product line to include peripherally inserted catheters, ambulatory infusion pumps and related products.

Soufleris comes to SoloPak from American Home Products, a division of Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories. Before joining Wyeth-Ayerst in 1991, Soufleris worked for Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Squibb-Novo Inc. Soufleris started his career with Bristol Laboratories.

Gurchiek has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field. Before joining SoloPak, Gurchiek served as vice president of sales and marketing for Goldline Laboratories Inc. He has held positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was director of the Apothecon Sales Division. Prior to that, Gurchiek was sales representative, district manager and regional manager at Bristol Laboratories. He began his career as a sales representative for Ayerst Laboratories.
