E-Z-EM, Inc., Westbury, N.Y., says its AngioDynamics division kicked off its initial offshore sales of [CO.sub.2]ject[TM], a new system for angiographic procedures that uses carbon dioxide contrast agents instead of the more costly iodinated media used in most of today's procedures. [CO.sub.2]ject has been cleared for sale in Australia, Spain and Ireland.

Phase II/III drug trials are proceeding in the U.S. and Canada. E-Z-EM's angioplasty product line has received 510(k) clearance will be introduced in this country later this year.
