PHS converts hospital to stockless program - Professional Hospital Supply; San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland, California

Health Industry Today, August, 1991

Professional Hospital Supply recently signed a stockless distribution agreement for medical/surgical supplies with 300-bed San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland, Calif. The Temecula, Calif.-based distributor now has stockless agreements with eleven hospitals.

"It will begin as a modified just-in-time agreement, but we will be stockless by the end of the year," said a spokesperson for the hospital.

PHS expects the agreement to amount to a "significant" amount of business. "We already had 70% of their med/surg business, but this will also lead to new business for us," said a spokesperson for PHS.
