Medline Industries Inc - appoints Richard Maddiex as president of Medcrest Linens Division and Robert Berndt as Personal Care Division - Newsmakers

* Medline Industries, Inc., Mundelein, Ill., switched the jobs of Richard Maddiex and Robert Berndt. Maddiex, formerly president of the company's Personal Care division, was named president of the Medcrest Linens division. Berndt, who headed up Medcrest Linens, becomes president of the Personal Care division.

As president of Medcrest Linens, Maddiex is responsible for all sales, marketing and purchasing efforts for Medline's sheets, towels and bedding products. Maddiex joined Medline in 1985. Before becoming president of the Personal Care division in 1988, he was director of sales for skin care and disposable personal products.

Berndt is now responsible for sales, marketing and new product efforts for the Personal Products division. The division sells such products as adult incontinent underpads and briefs, as well as other personal care items. Berndt joined Medline in 1973 as administrative assistant in the Medcrest division. In 1980, he became vice president of the division and in 1984 was named president.
