Gentle Dental Service and Dental Care Alliance have formed a merger whereby each company will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of InterDent (Culver City, California), a deal subject to stockholder approval and certain dosing conditions. The merger will be voted on by stockholders on or about March 11, 1999.

Approval would create a company with operations in 11 states, more than 180 dental offices under management and annualized net patient revenue of more than $210 million. Michael Fiore will be co-chairman and CEO, and Dr. Steven Matzkin will be co-chairman, president and chief dental officer of InterDent.
