Liquid Plastics - Specifier's Information - advertisement - Brief Article

Architectural Review, The, July, 2002

Structural protective coatings by Liquid Plastics protect a cathedral in Japan. Hokkaido is a mountainous region with snow and strong winds in winter and hot, humid summers. The cathedral was refurbished with an exterior coat of Monolastex for the concrete and K50 I Masonry Waterproofing Solution for the masonry. Monolastex is an elastic waterborne, acrylic matt coating. K50 I is a clear, silane siloxane compound which allows the appearance of the substrate to be kept, while protecting against water penetration and frost damage. The interior was refurbished with Monolastex Smooth.
