Vetrotech Saint-Gobain - Specifier's Information

A Cardiff restaurant has been fitted with Vetrotech Saint-Gobains SGG Swissflam-N2, a multi-laminated fire resistant, fully insulated glass with 30 minutes of integrity and insulation. The restaurant, Signor Valentino, has a large glass frontage overlooking Cardiff Bay. SGG Swissflam-N2, a Class A safety glass certified to BS 6202, is of sheets of laminated safety glass separated by a clear interlayer. In the event of fire, the intumescent layer turns opaque and expands to form a fully insulating heat shield, greatly reducing the transmission of radiated and conducted heat.
