Staten Island home to new Hilton hotel

Staten Island's newest hotel is "an entirely unique experience designed to satisfy each and every hospitality and business need," said. Richard Nicotra, owner of the Hilton Garden Inn along with his wife Lois.

They have announced that the Hilton Garden Inn opening this October in the Staten Island Corporate Park will feature over one million dollars in artwork and a 1,000-seat ballroom.

"Although there are many unique features of this hotel, the 1,000-seat ballroom and the over one million dollars of art work to be displayed demonstrates that there is nothing standard about this hotel. It is an elegant, first-rate hotel that all of Staten. Island and the entire metropolitan region can enjoy," said Richard Nicotra. "We have taken special pride in every detail of our new Hilton garden Inn. Our property is like no other! Our grounds and gardens offer a unique ambiance that transports you to the Orient or Italy simply by walking a few steps," said Lois Nicotra.

The ballroom includes full Kosher facilities and will offer the most exquisite ambiance, service and gourmet cuisine to be expected with the Hilton name. 2001 Gold medallist Chef Stefano Sena has been appointed executive chef of the Hilton Garden Inn and Sonny Soemarsono, formerly with the St. Regis Hotel and the Rainbow Room, has been appointed Executive. Sous Chef. Both are Staten Island residents.
