SwiftEstimator introduces new software application

Real Estate Weekly, Oct 16, 2002

Marshall & Swift, a leading worldwide provider of residential and commercial cost data and estimating software for real estate appraisers, tax assessors, contractors and lenders, announces that the SwiftEstimator(TM) online property estimating application now includes SF residential estimating technology and commercial contents and inventory estimating capabilities.

Our clients professional reputations and profitability rely on fast turnaround time and estimate accuracy. By adding the Residential Estimator and Commercial Contents and Inventory (CCI) to the SwiftEstimator, which already includes the Commercial Estimator, we streamline the estimating process and improve productivity and profitability for our clients, said Linda Jovanelly, director of marketing at Marshall & Swift. Now an appraiser can quickly and easily complete complex analyses in just a matter of minutes.

The newly added SF Residential Estimator is specifically designed to let users create a variety of cost reports as well as Form 1007 for EHA and HUD appraisals for single-family and low-rise multi-family residences, townhouses and duplexes. Users can select separate quality levels for components such as roofing, floor coverings and appliances, and can depreciate individual components separately using the industry-standard age/life method. The residential program also interpolates among residential styles, quality levels and square footages and allows users to develop detailed cost reports including hillside, seismic, wind and story-height cost adjustments. Frequent data updates assure that users have current and accurate data for the most reliable cost estimates possible.
