Workspeed offers new software for building security
Real Estate Weekly, Oct 24, 2001
Workspeed, Inc., the leading provider of Web-based collaborative software for commercial office buildings, announced the release of Workspeed Security Desk, a new module of its Workspeed Building platform. With Security Desk, office tenants and contractors can collaborate in real time with building management and lobby access personnel to authorize visitors and deliveries to their premises. Workspeed's Security Desk replaces the current cumbersome system of phone calls' and authorization letters with a secure database of visitors that resides on the Internet. Security Desk can be used as part of Workspeed Building (Workspeed's service request management platform) or can be used in a stand-alone capacity.
In response to the current demand for increased building security, Workspeed also announced that it is offering Security Desk free of normal license fees for three months to office building owners in its major markets, including New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, Dallas and San Francisco. The offer applies to both new and existing customers who register for Workspeed Security Desk before the end of this year. Workspeed's Security Desk expands the power of Workspeed's Web-based collaboration by allowing tenants and vendors with secure passwords to pre-authorize visitors and deliveries.
