Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP is pleased to announce its newest partner, Andrew R. Ben-Ami, who will lead the firm's Tax Practice Group. Mr. Ben-Ami has extensive experience in tax planning for businesses, individuals and tax-exempt organizations and will represent Tarter Krinsky & Drogin's clients in tax examinations and controversies before the Internal Revenue Service and state and local tax authorities. He will advise clients on a broad range of federal, state and local matters, including structuring business and investment transactions such as corporate and partnership formations and business reorganizations; the formation of tax-exempt entities, as well as other issues affecting tax-exempt organizations, especially matters involving unrelated business taxable income and investments; and estate and gift tax planning. Previously, Mr. Ben-Ami was a partner at Heller Ehrman LLP. He is admitted to practice in New York State and in the U.S. Tax Court, and is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
