Special recognition for real estate stalwarts

The Fashion Center Business Improvement District (B1D) has announced the names of the newest officers and members of its Board of Directors.
The selections were made at the annual meeting of the Fashion Center BID, during which special recognition was given to founding members Irving Schneider of Helmsley-Spear, Inc. and Aaron Gural of Newmark Knight Frank, who were both made Emeritus Members of the Board of Directors.
"Since it was founded in 1993, the Fashion Center BID has grown tremendously, helping not only to strengthen the District's legacy as the fashion capital of America. but its real estate infrastructure as well," said Barbara Randall. president of the Fashion Center BID.
"We owe much of our success to Irving Schneider and Aaron Gural, and are grateful for all they have done for the Fashion District."
The Fashion Center BID also appointed four officers to its Board of Directors. including new co-Vice Chairmen Martin Meyer of Williams Real Estate Company and Dana Comfort of George Comfort & Sons. In addition. Meyer was named Treasurer and Eric Gural of Newmark Knight Frank. Secretary of the Board.
Joining the Board of Directors for the first time are restaurateur Gabe Neama of 35 West Bar and Grill. representatives from Gotham Bank of New York and Gemini Real Estate Advisors, and district resident Rebecca Middleton.
