Randall D. White (photo) has been named director of Cushman & Wakefield Asia's Beijing office. White will be responsible for overseeing Cushman & Wakefield Asia's operations in the city. "Randy is an experienced professional and we will look to him to provide quality service to our clients in a critical area of the world," said Cushman & Wakefield senior managing director for Asia and Europe, John B. Coppedge, III.

A veteran of 10 years in international real estate, with experience in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, including two years in Beijing, White has spent most of his career at Jones Lang Wootton. American born and the holder of a master's degree in real estate from the University of Denver and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Colorado, White has spent many years servicing the real estate needs of multi-national corporations.

Ellen Bitton (photo), president and founder of Park Avenue Mortgage Group, Inc., a high-end residential mortgage brokerage and banking firm serving the needs of the tri-state area's high-end residential real estate market, announced the formation of Park Avenue Commercial Group, Inc., the commercial arm of Park Avenue Mortgage Group. The new company will focus on co-op underlying mortgage placements and other major financial transactions.

Bitton's extensive and proven track record in the mortgage world has earned her the reputation as one of the most experienced and innovative mortgage brokers in the country. As president of The Manhattan Mortgage Company, which she founded in 1985, Bitton's prowess was quickly noticed among mortgage and corporate executives alike. Previously, she was vice president at Gilbert Charles Beylen, Inc./Mortgage Placements, Inc., where, as director of the mortgage department, she was responsible for closings, training and banking for more than 50 new condominiums and coops. Bitton began her mortgage brokerage career as an assistant coordinator at Stanley Thea Associates on a Rose Associates building, The Colonnade.

In addition to heading both Park Avenue Mortgage Group and Park Avenue Commercial Group, Bitton remains a highly active member of the residential and commercial real estate industry, acting as a consultant to many of Manhattan's prestigious banks, attorneys and real estate professionals. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Association of Mortgage Brokers and has sat on a number of mortgage advisory boards, including Citibank, Manufacturers Hanover Trust and Dime.

Jeffrey H. Newman (photo) has been promoted to executive vice president of W&M Properties and its affiliates. Previously, Newman was senior vice president of W&M Properties. Newman, who has been with W&M since January of 1995, will continue to direct the leasing, marketing, operations and financial management of W&M's suburban portfolio of Class A office space in Fairfield and Westchester counties. He also will continue to assist in acquisitions in the expansion of W&M's portfolio.

Newman, 43, is also the 1999 president of the New York-City and Westchester/Fairfield Counties Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), a position he was elected to earlier this year. NAIOP is a national trade association for developers, owners, investors and asset managers of commercial real estate.

In addition, Newman serves on the Executive Committee of the Fairfield/Westchester Chapter of Real Estate Finance Association (REFA), the Executive Board of the Westchester Chapter of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and the Real Estate Committee of both the Fairfield and Westchester Counties March of Dimes.

Before joining W&M Properties, Newman served as general counsel for Albert D. Phelps, Inc. at Merritt 7 Corporate Park. Previously, he was a vice president and general counsel for Collins Development Corp. and Yankee Properties, Inc., and, before that, an associate in the real estate department of the New York law firm formerly known as Reavis & McGrath (now Fulbright & Jaworski).

A cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the law school at George Washington University, Newman is a member of the New York State and Connecticut bars. He is a registered salesperson for Wien & Malkin Securities Corp., and has also successfully completed several courses towards a masters degree in Real Estate Development and Investment at New York University.

Newman and his family reside in Fairfield.

Cold well Banker Real Estate Corporation has announced the evolution of its commercial real estate program into a separate business division- Coldwell Banker Commercial, and the appointment of Jerry D. Anderson (photo), formerly senior vice president for the company's commercial real estate program, its president. In his new role, Anderson will be responsible for growing the division nationally and internationally through new affiliations and helping current franchisees to grow their businesses and take full advantage of merger and acquisition opportunities. He will oversee all Coldwell Banker Commercial servicing, marketing and support staff. Anderson will continue to report to Alex Perriello, president and CEO, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation.
