After spending four years with IBM, Alec spent 14 years working for Cushman & Wakefield in the leasing of commercial office buildings on the East Coast of the U.S. Accordingly, his specialties are tenant representation and the leasing of new office developments. During his career, Monaghan has been responsible for the leasing of more than 10 million square feet of commercial properties.
Monaghan received a degree in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT in 1978, and received an MBA in Finance from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 1986.
Insignia/ESG, Inc. announced Martin Lomazow (photo), a managing director of the Long Island regional office, has been named the 1998-99 Top Producing Broker of the Year for Long Island for the second year in a row. In addition, Lomazow was named 1998-99 Broker of the Year by the Association for a Better Long Island (ABLI) and Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS).
According to Richard Karson, senior managing director of the Long Island office, Lomazow's diversified skill set provides his corporate clientele with expert guidance and support on the toughest of transactions. "Marty's work has helped to catapult our Long Island operation to the status enjoyed by our counterparts in New York and in the major markets around the country," Karson added.
On the ownership side, Lomazow is involved in the representation of some of Long Island's most significant projects, including the Queens Atrium Corporate Center in Long Island City (1 million square feet), EAR Plaza, Uniondale (1.1 million square feet), 711 Stewart Avenue, Garden City (350,000 square feet) 3 HQ, Melville (400,000 square feet) and Crossroads Corporate Center, Hauppauge (500,000 square feet).
Developers planning new construction such as Tritec and its 400,000 square foot Class A office space at 100 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, have also tapped into Marty's deal-making prowess.
Prior to joining Insignia/ESG, he served as principal/president of Madison Partners of NY, Inc., and Madison Management of NY, Inc.; as vice president at Broadwall Brokerage & Consulting, Inc.; and as an associate at Helmsley-Spear, Inc.. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the Building Owners and Managers Association, the Long Island Association and NACORE.
Lomazow, his wife Robyn and two children reside in Woodbury, NY.
