Furniture store moves to 200 Madison Avenue

Real Estate Weekly, Nov 20, 2002

The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, vice chairman, and Joseph A. Aquino, managing director, have assisted in leasing 200 Madison Ave., formerly occupied by Maurice Villency, on the northeast corner of 35th Street, to Roche Bobois. The long-term lease is for retail space, on three levels, consisting of 28,000 SF. The frontage is 200 linear feet. The Garrick-Aug team represented the landlord and the tenant.

"The Maurice Villency showroom was at 200 Madison Ave. for over 20 very successful years," explains Consolo. "Their new showroom is on Third Avenue, the Southeast corner of 57th Street. There are also Maurice Villency showrooms in Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Maryland."

"200 Madison Avenue will be the U.S. flagship store for Roche Bobois. Founded in Paris, it is an international symbol of European furniture creativity. Everything in the collection is exclusive. The designs are luxurious, yet comfortable; modern, yet timeless. Roche Bobois offers a complete environment, in which accessorizing, along with the furniture, contribute to the creation of a specific atmosphere, which doesn't change with each fad or trend. It is a way of life. It is classy, versatile, and easy. It offers the most recent ideas in modern design, integrated with the traditional French and other cultural influences. There are Roche Bobois stores in North America, Europe, and throughout the rest of the world."
