Brooklyn storage facility sold

Real Estate Weekly, Dec 15, 2004

Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates Inc. has arranged the $1.5 million sale of a former moving and storage facility in Brooklyn's Prospect Park section to a private residential developer.

The 20,000-square-foot, four-story loft building at 1199 Atlantic Avenue is now vacant. It was the home of Shleppers Moving and Storage, a well known New York business.

The sale was arranged by Berel Nagel, of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates. Ms. Nagel represented both the private seller and the new owner. The new owner plans to convert the property to luxury condos.

Mr. Nagel said, "Our firm originally took an exclusive on the building because it had 'luxury loft conversion' written all over it. Rather than market the property for industrial use, we targeted residential developers and after only three weeks we had a sale contract on it."
