Store says Hola to SoHo
Real Estate Weekly, Dec 28, 2005
In a deal that will bring Spain-based Tous to New York for the very first time, Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph A. Aquino, executive vice president, along with team member Efraim Navas of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Leasing and Sales Division, exclusively represented the luxury accessories retailer in a 10-year lease for a flagship store at 109 Greene Street.
SitThe boutique will serve as the retailer's fifth U.S. location, joining two stores in Miami, one in Orlando and another in San Antonio, as well as 200 locations worldwide.
The shop will sit directly across from Louis Vuitton and just steps away from Montblanc and Armani Casa, in a newly constructed cast iron building, in keeping with the tradition of Soho architecture. A Fall 2005 opening is planned.
"Soho seemed like the ideal neighborhood given Tous' expansion strategy," says Ms. Consolo. "We are aggressively seeking out new locations for Tous, and in some of the most chic and heavily populated cities around the globe."
