Levien & Co. is pleased with progress

Real Estate Weekly, Dec 27, 2000

If the first year of the new millennium is any indication of the upcoming months, Levien & Company will be busy well into 2001, says Kenneth Levien, AIA, president of firm.

During the past year Levien & Co. has worked on more than 30 assignments valued at approximately $400 million.

Assignments included serving as project manager for the complex Central Synagogue renovation after fire nearly destroyed the structure in August 1998, the conversion of the 250,000-squarefoot office/warehouse building at 65 West 13th Street to apartments (now known as the Greenwich), the St. James Church renovation, the Harvard Club restoration and expansion, multiple projects at Columbia University, and more than one-million square feet of corporate interiors including restacking of Avon and Amerada Hess.

"We've had an extremely busy year," says Mr. Levien. "And we are looking forward to 2001 and its many opportunities."

Founded in 1992 by Kenneth Levien, AIA, Levien & Company provides a comprehensive range of project management, consulting, and advisory services to real estate owners, investors, lenders and tenants.
