Golf courses to get new look
Real Estate Weekly, Dec 26, 2001
The general public associates golf course architecture with dazzling new courses, but 2002 will see the "other side" of the profession gain greater prominence, according to Damian Pascuzzo, president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA).
Pascuzzo pointed out that each year more courses are finalizing remodeling plans, some to correct minor problems, others to give the course an entirely "new look." In some cases, the course is completely redesigned, using newly-acquired acreage. Often total redesigns are caused by changes in community infrastructure, such as the relocation of major sewers or highways.
