Lansco named agent for 43 Wooster
Real Estate Weekly, Dec 25, 2002
The retail team at The Lansco Corporation has been named exclusive leasing agent for two levels of retail space at 43 Wooster St., a completely renovated and fully occupied luxury loft building located between Broome and Grand Streets in Soho. The 5,914 SF of ground floor and lower level space will, with the approval of the Landmark Committee, feature a fully restored facade.
43 Wooster Street is situated adjacent to the future Marithe Francois Girbaud flagship store, which was the original Gourmet Garage 10 years ago. Lansco's retail team brokered the lease for the international fashion designer late last year. Upon completion in February 2003, the store will feature a Landmark Committee-approved glass storefront.
"This new retail space is an ideal opportunity for another high-profile retailer, an apparel or home furnishings store, to benefit from the aesthetic changes in these two adjacent retail properties," commented Lansco senior managing director Yair Staav, who along with colleague Christine Emery, Lansco's Director of Retail Services, is marketing the space on behalf of the building's owners. "We are in close consultation with Girbaud to attract a complementary tenant for this prime space."
Other neighboring retailers include Tommy Hilfiger, Format Furniture, Kings Road Home, Selima Optique, Lucky Strike, Gant USA, Kenzo, SOHO Grand Hotel, Waterworks and Morgan Le Fay.
