Reckson holds broker party on Thanksgiving Day
Real Estate Weekly, Dec 25, 2002
It was a cold, blustery Thanksgiving Day, the type that made everyone want to turn over and catch another hour of sleep. But that didn't stop the Reckson Associates leasing team at 810 Seventh Ave. - Michael Berman, Robert Fink and Denise Adomo- - from having one of the best holiday broker events ever in New York City.
Imagine getting top brokers from Insignia/ESG, Newmark, Julien Studley and CB Richard Ellis to come out and look at space on a day where everyone gets to sleep late? It not only happened, but in a big way- - a total of 125 guests in all.
How did the Reckson team do it? By giving brokers and their families front row seats to the biggest show in town that day- - the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Not only did the fourth floor at 810 Seventh, with its huge windowed expanses, provide a sky-box feeling and an ideal vantage point to view the parade, but Reckson added all of the finishing touches- - clowns performing magic tricks and face painting, and lots of family-friendly refreshments, from hot chocolate and coffee to pastries and bagels.
Turned out, family fun and real estate marketing can be a potent combination, particularly when your building is on the Macy's parade route.
