Mark Shilen Textile signs 8-year lease

Jones Lang LaSalle has arranged an eight -year, 5,700-SF retail lease at 35 East 10th St. with tenant Mark Shilen Textile Art Ltd., a fine-quality rug retailer, on behalf of East 10th Street Associates LLC, owners of the property.
"We were looking for just the right type of tenant to complement this property and the surrounding neighborhood," said Barbara Winter, senior vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle, who along with Andrea Setian, a Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle, arranged the lease. "The area is filled with high-end antique and art stores, and Shilen's fine-quality rugs, which literally are works of art, are a perfect match for the building and this particular block of shops and stores. The store location is also directly across from one of New York's most romantic Italian restaurants, Il Cantinori."
Mark Shilen Textile Art Ltd. is relocating from 109 Greene Street in Manhattan.
