GVA launches new Life Sciences Group

GVA has launched a Life Sciences Practice Group to serve the rapidly growing biotechnology industry.
GVA partners around the world have been providing specialized services to a growing client base representing the life sciences, biotech and pharmaceutical sectors for nearly ten years, during which time the industry has more tripled in size. Biotechnology revenues increased from $8 billion in 1992 to more than $27 billion in 2001 according to the Biotechnology Industry Organization, a group representing more than 1,000 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology enters and related organizations.
Kathleen C. Doyle, principal of GVA Thompson Doyle Hennessey & Everest in Boston, heads up GVA's new task force. "With research and laboratory vacancy rates dramatically below that of the overall marketplace, life science companies face extraordinary challenges," Doyle said.
GVA's Life Sciences practice includes partners from America's top biotech centers, including Boston, San Francisco, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, San Diego, Seattle, Washington D.C./Baltimore and Los Angeles. The group also includes representatives from leading European biotech markets, including London, Munich and Dublin.
