Setai Group breaks ground with Vendome by the sea
Real Estate Weekly, Jan 10, 2001
The Setai Group, a Manhattan-based developer of luxury residential and boutique hotel properties, has pre-sold 50 percent of The Vendome, a 119-unit super luxury high-rise condominium on Turtle Creek Boulevard in Dallas, Texas, and has announced the opening of the on-site sales office for The Setai Resort & Residences, a luxury oceanfront condominium tower and five-star resort hotel in Miami's South Beach. Together, the two properties represent an entirely unique and design-conscious approach to super-luxury residential properties.
The Setai Resort & Residences is a 40-story ultra-luxury oceanfront condominium tower and five-star resort hotel. The Setai Group partnered with the renowned creator of the Amanresort, Adrian Zecha's GHM (General Hotel Management Ltd.), to oversee the management of the boutique hotel.
The project will offer approximately 189 residential units and approximately 90 hotel rooms and will provide residents and guests unparalleled views and first-class service and amenities. Features will include three lushly landscaped pools, a world-class restaurant, two-level lobby area; state-of-the-art fitness center and all-natural spa, valet garage parking, library and meeting space.
Residence features include black granite flooring, teak cabinetry, whirpool, laundry, individual-controlled heating and air-conditioning, dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, nine foot ceilings, private balconies, pre-wired for high-speed telecommunications and the Internet, and multiple phone lines. Apartment prices will range between $400,000 and $8 million.
"We have scouted the United States to find the best sites available for this unique, luxury residential development," said The Setai Group partner Jonathan B. Breene. "This project is designed for those who demand the most discriminating quality and who seek the very finest living environments."
The Setai is a transformation of an existing eight-story art deco hotel on Collins Avenue between 20th and 21st streets. Designers for the project include Alayo Consulting Architects of Manhattan, Schapiro & Associates of Miami and Denniston International of Kuala Lampur, which has designed landscaping for Amanresort hotels.
The Setai Group has also brought its distinctive development philosophy to Texas. The Vendome was designed with unmatched scale and grandeur to meet the swiftly accelerating demand for ultra-luxury high-rise living in Dallas. This residence advances the concept of truly opulent living by combining classical French architecture, European-level service and Texas-sized spaces with all the features of the most upscale New York City condominium.
The Vendome will offer extensive amenities including a grand lobby, 24-hour concierge and valet service, guest hotel suites, private health club, landscaped pool area with private cabanas and a basement garage with extensive parking.
The Vendome is located on a 2.1 acre site at the northwest corner of the intersection of Turtle Creek Boulevard and Lemmon Avenue, just two miles northwest of downtown Dallas. Apartments will feature private elevators, enormous terraces, all-marble his and hers baths, hardwood floors, fireplaces, open galleries, European style kitchens with custom crafted cabinetry and gourmet cooktops, and walk-in closets larger than most studio apartments.
