New Clinton townhouses nearing completion
Real Estate Weekly, Jan 9, 2002
With footings and foundations in place, framing began at the Mews at Annandale, a rental townhome community in Annandale, Clinton Township. Westminster Communities, the development arm of Florham Park-based Kushner Companies, is constructing a total of 221 townhomes in the heart of desirable Hunterdon County. According to Jeffrey Freireich, managing partner for Kushner Companies, the townhomes will be ready for occupancy in spring 2002.
Located on 40 pastoral acres adjacent to the Village of Annandale, the Mews at Annandale will feature 201 one-and two-bedroom townhomes averaging 1,200-plus SF, as well as 20 luxury two-bedroom, two-and-one-half-bath duplexes averaging 1,400-plus SF. Just one minute from a full interchange exit on Interstate 78, the new development offers superb highway access to New York City and Pennsylvania. The train station adjacent to the property provides a convenient connection to Manhattan.
Each townhome features a modem kitchen with ceramic flooring and wood cabinets plus the latest GE appliances; ample closets; spacious living areas with wall-to-wall carpeting, central gas heat and air conditioning; cable and internet ready; and private patio balcony. Each unit also includes its own washer and dryer. Private garage parking is available. Most two-bedroom units include two ceramic-tiled baths.
A children's tot lot playground and extensive landscaping are planned for the property, which is bordered by the winding Beaver Brook. Panoramic views of the Clinton countryside and surrounding dedicated conservation lands provide added appeal.
"The Mews at Annandale is ideal for those seeking a no-maintenance lifestyle in a relaxed, country setting," remarked Freireich.
"Its proximity to Routes 78 and 287 makes it a commuters' dream. Without the responsibilities of home ownership, residents will have more time to enjoy the area's abundant recreational offerings."
Spruce Run, Round Valley and Voorhees state parks are all within five miles of the Mews at Annandale, offering countless opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing, biking, camping, picnicking and many winter sports. Nearby Hunterdon County Arboretum features 653 acres of nature trails. And Clinton Historical Museum Village, within walking distance of the community, is home to the Hunterdon Arts Center.
