Housing builder is honored - Associations: events, awards - Magnusson Architecture and Planning given award by HELP USA - Brief Article

Magnusson Architecture and Planning has been saluted for its work in designing quality affordable housing by HELP USA, a non-profit organization that provides homes, job training and other services to homeless and low-income families, according to Magnus Magnusson, one of the firm's principals.

MAP was honored at HELP USA's second annual Building Better Lives Real Estate Honors program, (HELP is formerly known as H.E.L.P.--Housing Enterprise for the Less Privileged.)

"We feel very honored to be recognized by this group of dedicated individuals," says Mr. Magnusson. "HELP USA understands the importance of community partnerships to bring about real change. We're grateful for the opportunity to work with them to provide homes and build communities. and we look forward to continuing our work with the organization and all of its partners."

MAP specializes in affordable housing and community planning in the New York metropolitan area.

Current projects include several new affordable housing developments in the Melrose Commons section of the Bronx, several new mixed-use housing developments in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and a senior housing complex in Middletown, N.Y.

Current and past MAP clients include: Nos Quedamos, L&M Equities, the NYC Housing Authority, NYC Housing Partnership, Phipps Houses, the Bluestone Org., and Mercy College.
