Brian Moss has joined Ornstein Leyton Company as director of commercial operations and will be responsible for developing and operating a portfolio of community shopping centers and mixed-use properties with a focus on the eastern United States
He spent the past 11 years as vice president of Greenwich, CT-based Shopping Center Realty, where he managed a portfolio of predominantly retail properties on behalf of a family trust. He also managed and brokered other retail properties for other owners.
Moss, who has earned both a B.S. in personnel management from University of Arizona in 1978 and an M.B.A. in corporate finance from Adelphi University in 1983, held corporate positions prior to entering the real estate business in 1995 including director of the Long Island operations of the property and casualty division of insurer Cigna. Prior to joining Cigna, Moss was part of the start up team at New York Air, a low-cost airline established in 1980 and later merged into Continental Airlines.
Moss currently is chairperson of the Supervisory Committee of the Manhattan-based Montauk Credit Union; a past vice president of the Huntington Foundation for Excellence in Education and past president of the Men's Club at Temple Beth El in Huntington.
