New Spectrum Real Estate

The new combo of New Spectrum Real Estate with Newmark in the two new entities of Newmark New Spectrum Retail Real Estate and Newmark Retail Financial Advisors will be headed by Robert Pressman, Barney's former CEO.
He hooked up with Newmark's Gural family many years ago, as the firm handled Barney's owned real estate and other family building investments.
"We will advise companies and help them with anything involved in retail, whether advising on growing their company, selling off their real estate, financing or structuring leases or e-commerce," Pressman said.
The e-commerce is complimentary and not competitive, he said, "because most of the bricks and mortar retailers will [now] want e-commerce capability."
