To keep its always packed apres-dinner party from becoming boring, Newmark & Co. is planning to celebrate with rock and roll. Its "house'"' band, Square Feet, should start playing around 9:45 p.m. and continue 'til 11 p.m., says Newmark chairman and guitarist Jimmy Kuhn. Other band members include Corey Abdo, Billy Mendelson, Michael Levy and Jedd Nero.

The builders, brokers and politicians of the Big Apple will gather next Thursday night at the Hilton for the annual Real Estate Board of New York celebration dinner, and to feast and honor themselves. Remember to take your comfortable walking shoes to table hop, because no one ever Sits down.

"We played the New mark Christmas party and decided we should play here too," says Kuhn, who is more well known for his swordsmanship than for his very hushed but el grande investment bankig deals. Now let's see how he handles a pick.
