MLX signs with Apartments.com
Real Estate Weekly, Jan 17, 2001
New York-based MLX.com today announced that it has partnered with Apartments.com, a leading national online apartment guide, to provide one of the largest database of available apartments in the competitive New York City market through the national Apartments.com Web site at www.apartments.com. Apartment hunters who use Apartments.com to find rental properties in New York City will now be offered the option of linking to a co-branded jump page that will provide access to MLX.com's highly acclaimed apartment search service.
New York City, like San Francisco, is one of the few large cities experiencing a unique "reverse" market in which renters compete for available properties, making apartment hunting very challenging for would-be New York renters. In many cases, leases are signed several months and sometimes years in advance to reserve an apartment, and landlords are increasingly selective in the criteria for renting their properties.
"The information available at www.apartments.com, now enhanced by MLX's data, will give apartment hunters a new advantage in New York City," commented LaLa Wang, Founder and CEO of MLX.com.
"Apartments.com is committed to providing its users with the largest variety of listings and the highest quality online experience by partnering with companies like MLX.com which are content leaders in apartment-concentrated geographical spaces like New York City," said Matt Wise, vice president and general manager of Apartments.com.
