First Industrial marketing 2 million SF of space in NJ

Real Estate Weekly, Jan 16, 2002

John Kieser, regional development officer of First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc., reports the industrial REIT is marketing nearly two million SF of build-to-suit space throughout New Jersey. First Industrial has made a substantial commitment to investing and expanding within the New Jersey marketplace. Several of First Industrial Realty Trust's existing sites have approvals.

John Kieser commented, "Our outstanding build-to-suit opportunities in New Jersey offers prospective tenants superb space solutions to fulfill a variety of tenant requirements. Whether a company is seeking 20,000 SF or 1,000,000 SF of space, First Industrial has the right location, the development and construction expertise, and resources to meet its needs. If we do not control sites in a preferred location, First Industrial has an outstanding relationship with the real estate brokerage community in order to identify viable locations for build-to-suit scenarios."

Currently, First Industrial is marketing the following build-to-suit opportunities in New Jersey:

In Franklin township, several sites are available for development spanning 40,000 SF to 180,000 SF. The facilities include industrial and office properties.

In Sayreville, three sites are available spanning 67,200 SF to 130,000 SF of industrial, office, and hotel space.

In Lawrenceville, a 250,000 SF, five-building office/flex park is in the final planning stages. This project is also being developed as a biotech/laboratory project.

In Monroe township, First Industrial has the capability of building 1,100,000 SF of industrial space located at Exit 8, 1.5 miles from the New Jersey Turnpike. The site spans 190 acres.
