Discussing the wonderful world of finance - Brief Article - Panel Discussion

Real Estate Weekly, Jan 28, 2004

"Structuring Equity and Mezzanine Debt" will be the focus of a panel discussion by two leading experts at the B'nai B'rith Real Estate Unit luncheon on Wednesday, February 11 at the Cornell Club.

The speakers will be Howard Glatzer, Managing Director of Blackacre Capital, and Doug Adams, Senior Vice President of CIG International.

"We are seeing an influx of creative financing," said Harry Zlokower, co-chair of the B'nai B'rith Real Estate Unit.

"Here are two professionals at the forefront who will offer terrific insight into opportunities and their implications for the market."

Howard Glatzer has been a real estate finance professional for more than a decade. Since 1997, he has been responsible for identifying, underwriting and negotiating new acquisitions and investments for Blackacre Capital.

Prior to joining Blackacre Capital, Glatzer was Vice President of Rockwood Realty and Project/ Asset Manager with KG Land, the New York subsidiary of Tokyo-based Kumagai Gumi.

He has a B.S. in neurobiology from Cornell University and an M.B.A. in finance from Cornell's Johnson Graduate of Business.

Glatzer is on the steering committee of the Young Real Estate Executives and serves as cochairman of their 2004 annual luncheon.

Doug Adams joined CIG in 1999 to perform day-to-day asset management of the firm's Washington, D.C. and Florida portfolios. He also opened the Atlanta market, as well as launching CIG's New York office last year.

Previously Adams served in the real estate department of George Mason Bank in Virginia.

Adams earned a B.A. and B.S. degrees from Tufts University. He began his career at First American Bank.
